Donald Trump has been caught on camera with yet another puzzling bulge visible beneath his clothing, fuelling frenzied theories. While some believe the President could be concealing a medical device down his trousers, others are convinced he's wearing an adult nappy to prevent any accidents.
Footage sparks speculation
Days after claims Trump brought a "nappy nurse" along with him to handle his "out of control bowels", footage was posted onto X by departing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. It showed the 80-year-old descending several steps as he exited the platform at a Long Island gathering on Friday. As he pivoted to acknowledge the audience, the camera angle offered a rear view of Trump, and his suit jacket was noticeably protruding as he moved.
"Seriously, what is going on with Trump's rear end here? It looks like he has some sort of contraption back there," journalist Aaron Rupar observed while sharing the footage. The clip, which has racked up over 6million views, has triggered a wave of speculation, reviving persistent rumours about Trump requiring incontinence wear.
Nappy theories dominate
One commenter theorised: "Adult diaper, I suppose." And another agreed, writing: "It's called a diaper. Extra large diapers." However, others had alternative suggestions. Their theories range from concealed cardiac equipment to pain-relief apparatus, catheter systems, or even supportive walking aids.
One X user argued: "I'm pretty sure Trump's wearing an LVAD for Heart Failure." They attached a screenshot of a left ventricular assist device, which is a mechanical pump used to circulate blood when the heart lacks sufficient strength to function independently. The image contained text explaining: "Patients with a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) carry their external equipment around the waist and hips using specialised holsters, belts, and harnesses. This setup distributes the weight of the heavy equipment while keeping the system secure during movement."
Other theories and no confirmation
Another spectator offered a different theory. They said: "I think it's a TENS device. An electronic pain management device. Given his bulk and his gate and the effort it takes for him to move his legs he might have a TENS device." A third noted: "Well, when my dad had a catheter the bag was attached to his leg so it was well covered by the floppy bit of his trouser leg. Could it be something like that (though only they haven't hidden it well)?"
But a fourth insisted: "It's a walking assistance device. Portable wearable dialysis machine?" While some believe the bulge is an indication of Trump's health concerns, others think it could simply be a security measure. An onlooker suggested: "Maybe it's body armour so he doesn't get shot in the a--?" And a second agreed, commenting: "It's probably body armour for his safety."
Cheekily, some think it's simply because the President has a "big bum". But while speculation has been rife, there's been no official confirmation yet about what the mysterious booty bulge actually is.
