Three convenience stores in Torquay have had their closure orders extended for another three months because police and trading standards remain concerned about them supplying and selling counterfeit goods.
The stores affected are Cheeto Mini Market in Tor Hill Road, Milano Market in Union Street and International Mini Market, also in Union Street. Their initial three-month closure orders have been extended for a further three months.
Operation Marshal Investigation
The stores were initially closed following Operation Marshal, which investigated counterfeit goods operations in the area.
The extension of the closure orders follows work by police in cooperation with trading standards and Torbay Council.
Ongoing Enforcement
The continued closures reflect the authorities' ongoing action against illicit trade and rogue stores in the region.
