Newport City Council has released a CCTV appeal in an attempt to locate a man who was seen dumping a mattress in a residential street. The incident took place at Harrow Road in Newport on Sunday night.
Footage shows late-night dumping
Footage, released by Newport City Council, shows a man walking down the street at 11.16pm carrying the mattress with both hands. He is then seen placing it against a lamppost, turning around and walking back up the street away from it.
Council urges public to come forward
The council has asked anyone who may recognise the man captured in the footage to come forward. An appeal from Newport City Council reads as follows: "Do you know this person? They were caught on CCTV dumping a mattress on Harrow Road on Sunday night. We are appealing for anyone who might recognise this person to come forward with any information that will assist our investigation into this offence."
