Police in Greater Manchester have issued a warning to Ford owners after a spate of thefts in the region. Four Ford Kugas have been taken from areas around Greater Manchester in recent days.
Advice for owners
Owners of Kugas, Ford Focuses and Ford Pumas are now being urged to take steps to ensure their vehicles are secure.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Over the last few evenings, four Ford Kugas have been stolen from neighbouring force areas.
"Despite increased police patrols and ongoing efforts, offenders are continuing to target these vehicles."
Security measures
The force has offered a series of recommendations to help reduce the risk of theft. These include storing keys well away from doors and windows, using a Faraday pouch to prevent relay thefts, and considering an AirTag or vehicle tracker to help locate a vehicle if stolen.
Owners are also advised to ensure any CCTV, doorbell cameras or security systems are working and fully charged, park in a garage or well-lit area where possible, and use additional security devices such as steering wheel locks.
The spokesperson added: "Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately."
