Jeremy Clarkson has criticised visitors who steal items from his farm shop and pub, The Farmer's Dog, and then sell them online for a profit. In a clip from his Amazon Prime show Clarkson's Farm, the TV host detailed how his business regularly loses goods such as cooking oil and branded pint glasses.
Cooking oil and fixtures stolen
Clarkson stated: "The pub has become a target for thieves, with around £200 worth of cooking oil stolen in a single night. But that's far from the strangest item to disappear. Light bulbs and urinal traps are stolen every day, forcing staff to screw them down to stop people taking them."
400 glasses vanish weekly
Glasses are another frequent target, with an astonishing 400 stolen every week. While some items have minimal resale value, branded Hawkstone pint glasses have become sought-after. A quick eBay search shows numerous Clarkson's Hawkstone pint glasses advertised for between £10 and £15, with several drawing multiple watchers. The official Hawkstone website retails the identical glasses for £6.

The revelations left many viewers stunned, with several taking to social media to criticise the behaviour. One commented: "Add a deposit to the glasses, that's what they do on the Christmas markets in Germany. You want a souvenir? Fine, you've paid for it." Another posted: "The stealing is really sad. He is working his guts out." A third said: "There are some people out there that would steal their grandmother's false teeth even while she's still eating." Clarkson's Cotswolds businesses have grown enormously popular since the debut of Clarkson's Farm, drawing thousands of visitors each week to Diddly Squat Farm Shop and The Farmer's Dog.
