Merseyside Police are appealing for a man to come forward after a 13-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint in Calderstones Park. The force received a report at around 4.30pm on Sunday, August 9, that the teenager had his e-bike taken from him by two teenagers armed with a knife.
Arrests and seizures
The victim was uninjured but was left distressed by the incident. Extensive enquiries have been carried out, and police have arrested three men, all aged 18, in connection with the incident. They have all been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
Police also retrieved the e-bike, as it was fitted with a tracker device, and seized two machetes, an extendable baton, a large quantity of cannabis, suspected pink cocaine and scales as part of the investigation.
Appeal for information
Police are now looking to find the boy pictured in CCTV images, as they believe he could have information about the incident. Detective Inspector Lee Egerton said: “Our ongoing investigation into this incident continues at pace and we have already arrested three males and seized a number of items.
“We are now in a position to release a CCTV image of a male who we believe could have information. If you recognise yourself in this image, please come forward as you could have information to assist our ongoing investigation. Similarly, if you know who this male is, let us know so we can continue with our enquiries.”
