Burglar 'used pool and hot tub' before lewd act with rubber duck

Police in Georgia, US, are searching for a burglary suspect who allegedly trespassed onto a private residence, used the swimming pool and hot tub, and then committed a lewd act with a rubber duck before fleeing with hundreds of pounds worth of pool towels.

Suspect used pool and hot tub

The man allegedly entered the property between 2.15am and 5.30am on September 1. Chatham County police said he trespassed onto the property, used the hot tub, became obsessed with a rubber duck, and then stole the pool towels.

Police said the suspect spent 10 minutes “intensely interacting” with the rubber duck while in the hot tub. In pictures shared by police, the man is seen in several positions with the duck, including appearing to hold it up to his mouth in a kissing motion.

Towels stolen and escape on bicycle

When the man left the home, police said he stole beach towels valued at £880 before escaping on a bicycle. Police have urged the public to report any information about the suspect.

Chatham County police said: “He trespassed onto their property, used their hot tub, became obsessed with their rubber duck, then stole their pool towels. It’s obviously not the biggest crime we’ve dealt with this month, but it has a lot of ick factor.”

Similar incident in Florida

In a separate incident earlier this year, a man from Florida was arrested after engaging in a romantic encounter with a vacuum cleaner. Kevin Dale Westerhold, 51, entered a no contest plea to an indecent exposure charge and was sentenced to 12 months probation, fined £220, and ordered to undergo a “psycho-sexual evaluation”.
