A Ryanair flight from Manchester to Spain was met by bomb disposal experts, fire crews and officers from the Civil Guard and National Police at Murcia airport after a bomb threat was reported.
The plane took off from Manchester Airport this morning (Tuesday, November 3) before being met by the emergency services at its destination.
Passengers and crew checked
The 114 passengers and seven crew members were escorted from the plane and checked as specialists inspected the aircraft.
Murcia's Government Delegate, Francisco Lucas, confirmed no explosives were found, writing on X: "The @guardiacivil has ruled out the presence of explosives on the plane from Manchester following its inspection. The International Airport of the Region of Murcia resumes its activity normally."
