Ten flights have been impacted by suspected "bomb threats" on Thursday, November 5, marking the second time this week that planes have been diverted across Europe. Affected services include an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome and a Ryanair flight from London to Sofia, according to BBC News.
Heightened security after landings
Passengers on the affected flights have undergone heightened security measures, with planes searched after landing. The incidents follow similar disruptions earlier in the week, when several flights, including one from Manchester Airport, landed at European airports after suspected "bomb threats".
A Ryanair plane took off just after 7.10am on Tuesday, November 3, from Manchester and landed in Murcia, Spain, at around 10.30am after suspicions that explosives were on board.
