Bomb threats divert several flights across Europe

Multiple planes across Europe have been diverted following a series of bomb threats on November 5. The French Prime Minister's Office confirmed that an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Rome was diverted to an airbase this morning, with a bomb alert leading to the diversion.

Emergency Landings in Bulgaria

Three Ryanair flights have made emergency landings in Bulgaria. Two landed at Vasil Levski Airport in the capital Sofia and one at the airport in Plovdiv, according to the Bulgarian public broadcaster BNT. The flight that landed at Plovdiv departed from London Stansted.

Other Diversions and Threats

A Wizz Air flight from Milan to Warsaw was diverted to Vienna, while a Finnair flight from Helsinki to Rome Fiumicino was also subjected to a bomb threat, the Italian news agency Ansa reports.

This comes after seven flights across Europe, two of which departed from the UK, were subjected to bomb threats on Tuesday.
