After the assault, the attackers stole the woman's phone, gold chain, and cash before fleeing. The victim reported the crime to local police, leading to the immediate arrest of five suspects: Veerapandi, Vinith, Aravind, Selvakumar, and Gopalakrishnan. They have been charged with gang rape, criminal intimidation, voluntarily causing hurt, rioting, and robbery.
