Two men have been arrested on suspicion of rape after a woman was allegedly attacked in a late-evening incident in Newquay, Cornwall. The woman is being supported by specialist professionals, police said.

Police launched an investigation after receiving reports that a serious sexual assault had taken place in the Mount Wise area of Newquay on Monday evening. Officers attended the scene and specialist teams were brought in to support the woman as detectives began gathering evidence.
Arrests and Bail
Two men, both aged in their 20s, were later arrested on suspicion of rape as part of the inquiry. The suspects have since been released on police bail while further investigations continue.
