A 15-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted in Aberdeen, with police remaining at the scene and an investigation underway.
The alarm was raised around 1am on Sunday, September 20, when officers were alerted to a young girl having been the victim of a sex attack in the Garden Road area of the Granite City.
Emergency services, including Police Scotland, raced to the scene. The force remains in attendance this afternoon.
Scene cordoned off
Footage taken at the scene earlier today, and shared by Fubar News, shows a wooded area taped off by police. At least one uniformed officer can be seen standing guard at the site, alongside a cordon erected nearby.
Anyone who is worried or who has information on what happened is being urged to get in touch with cops.
Police statement
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1am on Sunday, 20 September 2026, we received a report of the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in the Gardner Road area of Aberdeen.
“Officers remain in attendance while enquiries are carried out. Anyone with concerns or information is encouraged to approach them or contact Police Scotland using 101.”
