A 17-year-old male has been arrested following the alleged rape of a teenage girl in Kirkintilloch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Monday, 10 August, we received a report of a serious sexual assault involving a teenage girl that happened in Kirkintilloch. A 17-year-old male youth has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
