Convicted Sex Offender Kidnaps 13-Year-Old Girl After Twisted 'Love Letter' Found
Sex offender charged with child kidnapping in Utah case

A convicted sex offender stands accused of kidnapping a 13-year-old girl from her family home in Ogden, Utah, after investigators discovered a disturbing 'love letter' he wrote to the child in his trailer.

Trailer Search Reveals Disturbing Evidence

Christopher Thomas Wiggins, 34, was arrested in Colorado on November 26, hours after an Amber Alert was issued for the missing teenager. According to court documents cited by ABC 4, a search of Wiggins' trailer, which was located on the same property as the victim's family home, uncovered a handwritten note containing twisted declarations.

In the letter, Wiggins allegedly wrote phrases such as 'You are my everything,' 'I can't possibly live without you,' and 'If it costs me my life, you are worth it to me.' Officials also found condoms and bullets during the search.

Confrontation, Gunfire, and Abduction

The situation escalated when the victim's parents, Erica and Jesse Francisco, confronted Wiggins after finding an explicit image he had sent to their daughter's phone, which he reportedly admitted to sending. The following day, the girl confessed to her parents about her relationship with the man. They warned him to stay away.

Later, while Erica Francisco was speaking with her daughter several blocks from their home, Wiggins allegedly found them and fired a shot at the back of their car. Court documents state he later apologised and gave the family the firearm, which they subsequently returned to him.

The mother contacted police at 1:44 pm the next day to report her child missing. The family believed their youngest daughter had been with the sex offender since 3:00 am. Shockingly, Wiggins allegedly left his own daughter in his trailer during the abduction.

Capture and Family's Anguish

Police tracked Wiggins' vehicle to Colorado via a traffic camera. He and the victim were found not far from his abandoned car around 7:00 pm that same day.

The Francisco family revealed they had known Wiggins since childhood and had allowed him to live on their property to keep him and his daughter off the streets. Speaking to ABC 4 after her daughter's safe return, Erica Francisco expressed her fury: 'I hate him. You took my little girl... the baby of the family... I hope he rots away.'

She added that while his daughter would remain welcome, Wiggins would never be allowed near her family again. The family expressed profound gratitude to everyone who helped ensure their daughter's safe return.

Christopher Thomas Wiggins, whose previous victim was a 14-year-old girl, is now being held without bail in the Weber County jail, facing a charge of child kidnapping.
