Manchester United face Atletico Madrid in Stockholm today in their third pre-season friendly of the summer under Michael Carrick.
United secured their first win of pre-season last week with a 5-0 victory over Rosenborg, following a 1-0 defeat to Wrexham in Helsinki. Atletico represent a step up in opposition.
23-man squad confirmed
Carrick has named a 23-player squad for the trip to Stockholm, a slightly smaller group than the one that travelled to Helsinki and Trondheim. JJ Gabriel is included again and will hope to make his senior debut.
Toby Collyer, Dan Gore, Jacob Devaney and Chido Obi have dropped out of the squad from the Rosenborg game.
Team news and how to watch
Amad and Altay Bayindir could be involved after returning to Carrington this week, but the match comes too soon for Senne Lammens and new signing Youri Tielemans.

Atletico are one game into their pre-season schedule, having beaten Getafe 4-1 in midweek. Carrick is expected to field a strong starting XI as senior players build match fitness ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League season.
