Sadistic man who delighted in child abuse jailed for 32 months
Sadistic man jailed for child abuse offences

Christopher Sanders, a 50-year-old man from Hinckley, Leicestershire, has been sentenced to 32 months' imprisonment for his role in inciting the horrific abuse of children. Between August 2017 and February 2019, Sanders used Skype to contact five facilitators based in the Philippines who were known or suspected to have incited child abuse or had previously been arrested for such offences.

Sadistic demands and payments

After identifying these facilitators, Sanders would inquire about their access to children and offered payment in the form of "tips" via legitimate adult streaming websites. When requesting abuse material, he repeatedly asked for victims to be physically abused, in multiple cases specifically demanding that they be made to cry. If content was not provided quickly enough or to his liking, Sanders would send verbal abuse to the facilitators.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) launched an investigation after receiving intelligence in July 2023 from international partners about a prolific purchaser of live-streaming content. NCA Senior Investigating Officer Maria Powell stated: “Sanders delighted in the horrific abuse of children that his sadistic tastes incited. His truly warped mentality was revealed in the violent requests he made and which would have continued had he not been arrested.”

Investigation and arrest

NCA officers tracked down Sanders by analysing information associated with his Skype account, which included links to 22 PayPal accounts, email addresses, his home address, and mobile number. He was arrested in April 2024. A search of his home led to the seizure of electronic devices containing 20 images of categories A and C, as well as extreme pornography and evidence of his chat activity.

Sanders pleaded guilty to all charges in February 2026 at Leicester Crown Court. On July 7, 2026, he was sentenced to 32 months' imprisonment at the same court. Additionally, he was handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and will be placed on the Sex Offender's Register, both for life.

Powell added: “The NCA along with partners at home and abroad will continue to track down offenders like Sanders and protect the most vulnerable in our society from those who do them harm.”
