An 85-year-old man has been charged after two women were sexually assaulted on London Underground trains this month.
Constantine Fernando, of Deans Gate Close, London, faces two counts of Sexual Assault and two counts of Exposure. He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on August 22.
Incidents on the Northern line
The charges relate to incidents on Northern line trains on August 1 and August 3. The first attack occurred at around 8.40pm on Saturday, August 1, when a man sexually assaulted a woman on a train at Waterloo Underground station.
When she turned around, the man had exposed himself. He then left the service and boarded a northbound Northern line train.
Second assault near Euston
The same man then sexually assaulted another woman two days later, at around 8pm on August 3, again on a Northern line train, near Euston.
Fernando remains on conditional bail with stringent conditions until his next appearance at Inner London Crown Court on September 22.
