Westminster Magistrates' Court became the stage for dramatic allegations this week as former television star John Alford faced charges related to historical sexual offences involving two teenagers.
The 52-year-old actor, best known for his role as firefighter Billy Ray in the hit ITV drama 'London's Burning', is accused of engaging in sexual activity with two girls under the age of 16 during the 1990s.

Prosecutors outlined a disturbing pattern of behaviour allegedly occurring between 1993 and 1995. The court heard how one victim was reportedly 15 years old when the offences began, while the other was just 14 at the time of the alleged incidents.
"The defendant engaged in sexual activity with both complainants when they were under the age of 16," the prosecution stated during Thursday's hearing.
