Four Arrests After Teenage Girl Drugged and Raped in London Park

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of rape after an alleged attack on a teenage girl in a south-west London park. The Metropolitan Police said the victim was reportedly drugged and raped in Fishponds Park, Surbiton.

Police were called to the park just before 7.15am on Thursday (August 21). A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and administering a substance with intent to commit a sexual offence.

Two other men, aged 35 and 36, were each arrested on suspicion of rape, sexual assault and administering a substance with intent to commit a sexual offence. A 41-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of rape. All four remain in custody.

A spokesperson from the Met said: 'We understand this news is concerning for the community and we will be increasing patrols in the area.' The force said the teenager is being supported by specialist officers.
