A stalker who created fake Tinder profiles for his ex-girlfriend, promising men a 'rape fantasy' and 'rough sex' to lure them to her home, has been jailed for eight years. Asad Hussain, 36, of Cheadle, was found guilty of stalking involving serious alarm or distress, assault, and failure to comply with a Section 49 RIPA Notice at Chester Crown Court.
The Deception Unfolds
Hussain originally used the alias 'Mick Renney' on social media to date the mother before their short-lived relationship ended in May 2024 due to his extreme jealousy. The court heard that Hussain would become irritated when she spoke to other men, repeatedly press her doorbell for hours, and check her phone contacts. His controlling behavior included demanding to be present when she used her phone and, on one occasion, pushing her to the floor and grabbing her mobile during a bathroom confrontation.
The Fake Tinder Profiles
After the breakup, men began arriving at her home claiming they had matched with her on Tinder, expecting the 'rape fantasy' and 'rough sex' promised on the app. The fake profile included messages suggesting that if she said 'no', it meant she 'wanted it more'. At least 18 men were tricked into visiting her address, though the actual number remains unknown, according to police.
Disturbing Incidents
In September 2024, a man pushed open her door, breaking a glass panel, and showed her messages from the fake account instructing him that the front door was unlocked and needed a 'shove' as it was 'stiff'. Later that day, another man entered her home while her teenage daughter was upstairs alone, remaining inside for several minutes before leaving. Many of the men who visited offered their contact details to assist the police investigation.
Police Investigation
Cheshire Police discovered that 'Renney' was a false identity used by Hussain. Officers tracked his movements, showing that every time the Tinder accounts were active, Hussain had traveled from Cheadle to the Northwich area, either staying at an industrial unit he rented or parked in a layby on the A556 two miles from the victim's home, operating the fake accounts for hours.
PC Keith Terrill, the investigating officer, said: 'This is one of the most disturbing stalking cases Cheshire Constabulary has ever investigated. Hussain is an extremely deceitful individual whose only objective was to cause maximum harm to the victim and her children, even going as far as to incite others to break into her home and sexually assault her.'
