Former OnlyFans Creator Details Descent into Addiction and Spiritual Awakening

A 22-year-old woman from Middlesbrough has shared her harrowing journey from teenage adult content creator to drug addiction and eventual recovery, issuing stark warnings about the destructive impact of such platforms on individuals and society.

From Teenage Entry to Cocaine Dependency

Charlotte Divine began creating content on OnlyFans at just 18 years old, initially seeing it as an opportunity but quickly finding herself trapped in a cycle that would dominate her life for three and a half years. Within months of starting her online adult work, she developed a serious cocaine addiction that would come to define her existence.

"Cocaine became a problem for me from the first day I did it," Charlotte revealed. "It was a love-hate relationship. I didn't enjoy how it made me feel, but it gave me this sense of pure clarity and calmness that nothing else did."

The addiction intensified after she moved to Australia, where she was introduced to additional substances including ketamine, MDMA, and LSD. She admits using drugs to cope with her work, stating they made it easier to perform in an industry she grew to despise.

The Turning Point and Spiritual Transformation

Charlotte's breaking point came when a suppressed memory of childhood trauma resurfaced, leaving her feeling physically sick about her work. This emotional reckoning prompted her to shut down her OnlyFans page and all associated social media channels, despite having earned up to £10,000 per month at her peak.

Since quitting the platform, Charlotte has turned to faith and spirituality as her primary means of recovery. She now spends her days speaking about her experiences online, reading the Bible, and praying daily.

"Jesus hardly preached in churches; mostly his sermons were outside, on hills and by the sea," she explained. "He emphasised building a relationship with God first, not the church. For me, my path has been about building a relationship directly with God."

Warning About Societal Consequences

Charlotte now speaks passionately about what she perceives as the damaging effects of adult content platforms on both men and women in modern society.

"Adult sites are weakening the minds of men to the point where they are slaves to their devices, to these videos and to these online 'models'," she asserted. "Men don't hold doors open anymore, they don't defend their loved ones anymore, they don't fight for what is right, they don't want marriages, they don't want children."

She expressed particular concern about how these platforms affect women's self-perception and behavior: "Women are being weakened and made insecure by the idea of what a woman should be or how sex should be. What is portrayed in porn is so far removed from real intimacy and connection."

Charlotte criticized what she sees as society's normalization of online sex work: "I think it's disgusting we live in a society that has so highly normalised women becoming online sex workers that people didn't even bat an eyelid when I told them what I did for work. It's pure evil, disgusting and destroying marriages."

Family Support and Current Situation

Throughout her difficult journey, Charlotte's family remained supportive despite their reservations about her career choice. "My family were supportive, although they wanted me to take a different path," she said. "They warned me that I might regret my decision when I was older, but I was persistent in this pursuit and they chose to support me and love me rather than disown me."

Now 155 days completely sober, Charlotte faces financial challenges after leaving her lucrative career behind. She currently relies on dwindling savings with no regular income, having spent much of her remaining funds on healing from past abuse.

Despite these difficulties, she remains committed to her new path, warning others about the dangers she believes are inherent in the adult content industry and its normalization in contemporary culture.
