Jack Dallas, 25, of Trinity Road, Gillingham, has been jailed for eight years and three months for a violent home invasion in which he punched a pensioner and held a zombie knife to his throat.
Brutal home invasion
On the evening of January 9, 2026, Dallas broke into the home of a man in his 70s near Begonia Avenue in Twydall with two associates. The victim was woken by the ski-masked intruders, who demanded cash. When the pensioner said he had none, Dallas pressed the blade to his throat and punched him several times in the face. The group then fled, leaving the victim with facial cuts and bruises.
Arrest and conviction
Police attended the scene, and a forensic team recovered DNA from a mark on the doorway. The DNA matched Dallas, who was arrested on March 19 and found with a quantity of cocaine. He was charged with aggravated burglary and possession of a class A drug.
Dallas admitted both offences at Maidstone Crown Court. On Friday, July 24, he was sentenced to eight years and three months in prison. He will remain on licence for three years and four months after becoming eligible for parole.

Detective Constable Harry Groves said: “Dallas’ victim was not only brutally harmed by these callous criminals, but he has also been left terrified in his own home and the impact on him will be long lasting. Dallas and his associates are despicable cowards who chose to target a vulnerable victim who would be unable to fight back. It is only right that one of them has been tracked down and is now serving a lengthy prison sentence. I hope this knowledge can give his victim some form of closure.”
