Slovakian Kidnappers Jailed for ASDA Car Park Abduction

Two Slovakian men have been handed significant prison sentences for the chilling abduction of a young woman, whom they drugged and kidnapped from a supermarket car park in a plot that could have ended in tragedy.

Marian Hossa, 25, and Juraj Hossova, 22, were sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court after pleading guilty to charges of kidnap and administering a substance with intent. The court heard how they targeted their victim in the broad daylight of a Nottingham ASDA car park.

The Chilling Abduction

On the day of the incident, the victim had just finished her shopping when she was approached by Hossa. In a disturbing ruse, he offered her a drink that had been laced with a powerful sedative. Once the substance took effect, she was forcibly placed into a vehicle by the two men.

The prosecution detailed how the men had clearly planned the abduction, lying in wait for a vulnerable target. They then began a journey towards London, with the victim trapped inside the car.

A Courageous Escape

The situation took a dramatic turn when the effects of the drug began to wear off. Displaying immense bravery, the victim managed to fight off her captors and escape from the moving vehicle near the M1 motorway service station. Her quick actions and presence of mind prevented a potentially far worse outcome.

She immediately alerted authorities, providing crucial details that led to the rapid apprehension of Hossa and Hossova.

Justice Served at Nottingham Crown Court

Judge James Sampson condemned the men's actions as "a terrifying ordeal for a vulnerable victim" and highlighted the premeditated nature of the crime. Marian Hossa received a sentence of six years and three months, while Juraj Hossova was sentenced to five years and three months in prison.

Detective Inspector Mark Andrews, who led the investigation, praised the victim's bravery and stated, "This was a horrifying experience for the young woman involved. Her courage in escaping and then assisting our investigation was instrumental in bringing these dangerous individuals to justice."

The case serves as a stark reminder of the existence of predatory crimes and the importance of public vigilance, even in seemingly safe everyday environments.
