Russell Brand is reportedly set to be confronted by two inmates who "rule over" his prison wing and demand money for protection, according to a report.
The convicted rapist was reportedly left "cowering in fear" as hundreds of prisoners at HMP Wandsworth chanted: "There's a brand new n**ce on the wing! A brand new n**ce. Brand you c***, you ain't so f***ing lairy now".
Brand, 51, faces years in prison after being found guilty of raping one of his fans and sexually assaulting three women during his showbiz career. He will be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday.
Vulnerable persons' wing
According to reports, Brand spent his first night in prison on an induction wing before being moved to the vulnerable persons' wing, called the "n**ce wing" by inmates.
A source on Saturday night told The Mail on Sunday that Brand was likely to be "approached soon" by two prisoners who "rule over the wing".
They told the publication: "No doubt he's probably going to end up having to line their pockets in order to have a slightly safer and more comfortable time."
Verbal abuse and potential physical attack
The same source said that with the prison being understaffed at weekends, prisoners have to stay in their cells for longer and need to get amusement from somewhere so they targeted Brand by shouting the chant.
Brand is reportedly "going around like a shadow", but so far he has only been on the receiving end of verbal abuse, though as a celebrity he will be a "high-end target" for a potential physical attack, according to the source.
In court on Thursday, jurors found Brand guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault after deliberating for eight and a half hours. He was cleared by the jury of two counts of rape and one charge of attempted indecent assault.
The shamed comedian-turned-conspiracy theorist is spending the weekend in custody before he returns to Southwark on Monday to learn his prison sentence.
Further charges and reaction
Brand may also face further criminal charges after being accused of raping two more people as more women came forward to police after Brand was first accused.
Prosecutors have been assessing whether to bring further charges against the disgraced comedian. Scotland Yard has confirmed that investigations are ongoing into two allegations of rape made against Brand.
Meanwhile, on Saturday a woman whose relationship with Brand was the focus of the Sachsgate scandal has urged him to take responsibility after his rape conviction.
Georgina Baillie was thrust into the spotlight when the comic and Jonathan Ross left lewd messages about her liaison with Brand on the answerphone of her grandfather, Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs, during a 2008 radio show.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ms Baillie said "justice has been served" following Brand's conviction.
She said: "Although he never raped or assaulted me, as I have always said I didn't know what happened in the privacy of the rooms that the victims and Russell were in and their evidence was compelling."He has been found guilty and I now want Russell to right the wrongs."
Ms Baillie described Brand as a "sex addict" and "seriously unwell", but added it did not excuse his actions.
She continued: "Owning up would be the first part of the amends and the second part would be whatever measures are necessary to put these girls back together."
