Serial sex offender Simon Levy, who murdered two women and raped a third after being left free to kill due to a series of errors, has been sentenced at the Old Bailey. Levy, wearing sunglasses and a grey tracksuit, entered the dock and received a whole life order.
Crime spree and convictions
Unemployed Levy's crime spree stretched from 2018 to 2025 and encompassed numerous sex attacks and two murders, as the Metropolitan Police, the British Transport Police (BTP) and the courts failed to stop him. On Friday, Levy, of Beaufoy Road, Tottenham, north London, was found guilty at the same court of murdering grandmother Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 53, in March 2025 and mother-of-four Sheryl Wilkins, 39, in August that year.
The 40-year-old suffocated both women in sexually motivated attacks, with Ms Valencia-Trujillo discovered in a largely deserted block of flats on the Aylesbury estate in south-east London, and Ms Wilkins behind a car park wall near Tottenham High Road, north London.
Third victim and sentencing
The murders occurred after he subjected a third woman to a savage sex attack in the same car park where Ms Wilkins' body was later discovered. The jury found Levy guilty of two counts of rape, grievous bodily harm with intent and the non-fatal smothering of the third woman whose collarbone was broken.
