Andy Carroll Denies Breaching Non-Molestation Order

Former England footballer Andy Carroll has pleaded not guilty to breaching a non-molestation order by allegedly repeatedly calling his ex-wife, Billi Mucklow. The charge relates to incidents in March last year, according to Chelmsford Magistrates' Court.

Carroll, 37, who currently plays for National League South side Dagenham & Redbridge, appeared in court on Wednesday using crutches and wearing a foot brace. He confirmed his personal details and opted for trial at crown court, saying 'Crown please' when asked.

The non-molestation order was made by the family court at Chelmsford Justice Centre. Mucklow is known for appearing on the reality TV show The Only Way Is Essex.

District Judge Roy Brown bailed Carroll, who will next appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 4 March for a plea and trial preparation hearing. Brown warned that if Carroll maintains his not guilty plea, arrangements will be made for a trial.

Carroll began his professional career at Newcastle United before a £35m move to Liverpool in 2011. He later played for West Ham, Reading, and West Brom, and earned nine caps for England, scoring twice including a goal at Euro 2012.
