A contractor embroiled in a legal battle with Kanye West is seeking to compel the rapper's spouse, Bianca Censori, to testify in their ongoing labor-related litigation. Tony Saxon, who initially filed the lawsuit in 2023, has formally requested a Los Angeles court to order the Australia-born architect, aged 31, to take the stand, according to reports from TMZ after reviewing court documents.
Unclear Role of Censori in the Case
It remains uncertain why Censori has been cited by Saxon as a potential witness in this case, which is scheduled to return to court later this month. The legal dispute originates from an initial arrangement between West and Saxon in September 2021, when the rapper was pursuing drastic modifications to an oceanfront Malibu mansion he had purchased.
Contractor's Allegations and Work Details
In legal documents submitted to the court, Saxon detailed that to meet West's unique specifications, he performed multiple roles, including project management, property caretaking, and security duties. He claimed to have worked up to 16 hours daily on the remodel, occasionally sleeping on the ground with his coat to adhere to the schedule.
Saxon further alleged that the relationship deteriorated two months later, in November 2021, when he opposed several of West's renovation requests. Specifically, he stated that West ordered the removal of all windows and electrical equipment, creating hazardous conditions at the property.
Property Condition and Background
The Malibu mansion, spanning over 4,000 square feet with four bedrooms and five bathrooms, offers idyllic Pacific Ocean views. However, it currently lacks windows, walls, a roof, and electricity, as reported in the case documents. Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for both West and Censori for additional comments on the story, but no immediate response has been provided.
