A man has been found dead in a vehicle outside a supermarket in Greater Manchester. Emergency services attended the Morrisons store on Blackhorse Street, near Bolton town centre, on Wednesday morning (September 9) following a report of a concern for welfare.
Paramedics and firefighters were also seen at the scene. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the man was found dead in a car and said it is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. A coronial investigation is now likely to take place.
Emergency response at the scene
Multiple police vehicles were seen in the car park on Wednesday morning. An area was cordoned off, and firefighters used a screen to cover the vehicle involved. Forensic investigators were also seen in attendance during the afternoon, and the scene was later cleared.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 9.40am on 9 September, officers received a call regarding a concern for the welfare of a man on Blackhorse Street, Bolton. Sadly, a man was found dead in a car. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
