Woman's Body Found at Falls of Falloch After Water Incident

The body of a woman has been recovered from a popular Scottish beauty spot after she got into difficulty in the water.

Emergency Response

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Police Scotland were called to the Falls of Falloch, near Crianlarich, in Stirling, at about 10.45pm on Friday night following reports of a woman in difficulty in the water.

Emergency services attended and water searches were carried out at the site near Loch Lomond. Killin Fire Station said two appliances were mobilised along with Oban and Stirling water rescue units.

Body Recovered

Police confirmed that a body was recovered at about 11.45am on Saturday. The woman’s next of kin have been informed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Her death is being treated as unexplained, but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.”

Aftermath

The nearby public Falls of Falloch car park has been re-opened. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
