A Wisconsin woman has admitted stabbing her boyfriend to death after he brought home chicken drumsticks to cook instead of taking her out for date night, court documents have revealed.
Mikayla Kloth, 27, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Lukas Rosch, 25, on 24 April at her apartment in the Village of Lac La Belle.
According to a criminal complaint, Kloth told investigators she became angry when Rosch arrived with chicken drumsticks and seasoning, planning to use an air fryer, rather than taking her out for dinner. She said he 'began pushing her buttons' and she stabbed him because she was angry.
Police found Rosch with a single stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead in hospital. Kloth reportedly told officers: 'I stabbed him. If you have to take me to jail, OK.'
At a court hearing, Rosch's father described himself as 'a shattered man' and begged the judge to keep Kloth in custody. The family said they were 'completely broken' by the loss.
Court documents also revealed that about a week before the killing, Rosch had told a woman and his landlord that Kloth bit his thumb and he feared for his safety. Kloth remains in custody with a $2 million cash bond.
