Murder Investigation Launched After Woman Found Dead in Enniskillen House
A murder investigation has been initiated following the discovery of a woman's body at a property in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. The local community has been left in deep shock after the grim finding on Sunday, with police confirming the victim was a woman in her 20s.
Arrest Made in Connection with the Incident
A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and other related offences. He remains in police custody as enquiries continue. The arrest occurred near the scene on Carn Road, following a reported car collision that police believe is linked to the case.
Police Appeal for Information
Detective Chief Inspector Gary Robinson from the Major Investigation Team stated that the investigation began after a collision near Tempo in Co Fermanagh. Police received a report that a man driving a grey Nissan Juke was involved in a collision on Carn Road at approximately 9.15pm on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle but the driver had left the scene.
Enquiries determined the car was registered to an address in the Corban Avenue area of Enniskillen. When officers arrived at the house, they discovered the body of the young woman. Detective Chief Inspector Robinson appealed to the public for assistance, particularly urging anyone travelling on Cornagrade Road into Corban Avenue between 6.30pm and 10.45pm on Saturday evening to come forward with any information.
