Woman Charged Over Child Abuse Images at Photo Store

A woman has been charged with possessing child abuse material following an unusual incident at a photo printing business in Canberra.

Incident at Belconnen Store

Police allege the 36-year-old, from Wamboin in the NSW Southern Tablelands, visited a Belconnen photo printing service on Wednesday to print several digital images. When she attempted to print the images, the machine malfunctioned, and she received a refund before leaving the store.

Shortly after, staff checking the malfunctioned machine allegedly recognised multiple child exploitation images that had failed to print. They immediately contacted ACT Police, who launched an investigation.
