Police have launched an appeal after a woman was punched in the head and face and forced into a car in Portglenone, Northern Ireland. The incident occurred on Main Street around 10pm on Saturday night.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, common assault, and taking a motor vehicle without authority. He remains in custody.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said a member of the public reported that a male assaulted a female, punching her to the head and face before forcing her into a black Nissan Qashqai.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or other video footage to contact them on 101, quoting reference 2 15/03/26.
