A 24-year-old woman has been killed and a man in his twenties injured in a double stabbing in Hayes, west London. Emergency services were called to Uxbridge Road at approximately 7:55 a.m. on July 12, 2026. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was found outside with stab wounds and taken to hospital.
Suspect Arrested After Jumping from Window
The Metropolitan Police said officers quickly located a 44-year-old man nearby who matched the suspect's description. He had injuries believed to have been caused after jumping from a window and was also taken to hospital. The man was arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a knife in a public place.
Police Statement on Incident
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo of the Met said: 'This is a shocking incident which has tragically resulted in one woman losing her life and another man in hospital with injuries. Our thoughts at this time are with both victims and their loved ones, who are being supported by specialist officers.'
No Wider Threat to Public
Police stated there is not thought to be any wider threat to the public, but locals can expect to see more officers in the area over the coming days. The investigation is ongoing.
