East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to the scene on Nevill Road at 3:46 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16. Fire engines from four stations attended as firefighters battled the flames.

In an update at 8 a.m., the fire service reported that crews were "damping down hot spots, cutting away and ventilating the property." Please continue to avoid the area as roads remain closed at this time."
