Emergency services were called to Traeth Llydan beach in Rhosneigr, Anglesey, on Sunday, July 5, after an unconscious person was found in the sand dunes. The Welsh Ambulance Service and two coastguard rescue teams—from Rhosneigr and Holyhead—responded to the incident.
Response and Rescue
The coastguard teams were tasked by Holyhead Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre to assist paramedics at the scene. The person was safely placed into an ambulance and transported from the area. A coastguard spokesperson said: "Rhosneigr Coastguard Rescue Team tasked by Holyhead MRCC along with our colleagues Holyhead Coastguard Rescue Team to assist the Welsh Ambulance Services paramedics with an unconscious person in the sand dunes by Traeth Llydan, Rhosneigr. Both teams quickly arrived and remained on scene until the person was safely in the ambulance to which we then stood down and returned back to station to make ready for any future taskings. We wish the person all the very best and a speedy recovery."
