Police have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of abduction after a 14-year-old girl was reported missing for the second time in days. Cassidy, from Thurcroft in Rotherham, was last seen on CCTV in Bridgegate on Sunday, March 29 at around 7.11pm.
The teenager was first reported missing on Thursday, March 26, and again on Sunday. Despite the arrests, Cassidy has not yet been found, and officers say they are increasingly concerned for her welfare.
South Yorkshire Police confirmed that a 60-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of abduction and remain in police custody. The force is conducting searches, reviewing CCTV, visiting nearby properties, and searching the local area.
Cassidy is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, with very long ginger hair in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black leggings, and carrying a small handbag. Police are urging anyone with information to contact them, quoting incident number 622 of March 29, 2026.
