Italian authorities have apprehended two individuals following a horrific attack in Amendolara, Calabria, where four migrant farmworkers were burned to death inside a vehicle. The assailants poured a flammable liquid into the car at a petrol station and set it ablaze, an act captured by surveillance cameras. Footage shows one person attempting to prevent the car doors from being opened.

Victims and Escapee

The victims comprised three Afghan nationals and one Pakistani national, all employed as migrant farmworkers. One man managed to escape the burning vehicle and is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries at a local hospital.

Investigation and Arrests

Prosecutors in Castrovillari confirmed the discovery of the four bodies on Monday. Subsequently, two Pakistani men have been detained in connection with the deaths. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to uncover the motive behind this brutal attack.
