Police have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of murder after a 40-year-old woman was found dead at a hotel in Liverpool on Saturday morning.
Incident Details
Officers were called to The White Star Line Hotel on James Street by the North West Ambulance Service shortly after 3:20 AM on August 1. Paramedics had received a report that the woman had become unwell.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and her next of kin have been informed. Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Arrests and Investigation
A post-mortem has been carried out to establish the cause of death, but the results have been withheld pending toxicology reports.
A 47-year-old man from Kirkby and a 34-year-old woman from Liverpool have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 31-year-old man from Liverpool was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All three have been conditionally bailed while enquiries are ongoing.
Police forensic vans were spotted outside the hotel on Monday evening.
