Tributes have been paid to Suzanne Menagh, a 40-year-old woman found dead at a Liverpool city centre hotel in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police are treating her death as unexplained.
Incident details
Officers were called to The White Star Line Hotel on James Street by the North West Ambulance Service at approximately 3.20am on Saturday, August 1, after reports that a woman had fallen ill. Despite paramedics' efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem has been conducted, but findings are being held back pending additional tests.
Tributes from friends and colleagues
Ry's Competitions, based in Bootle, remembered Suzanne as a "valued and loyal member" of their community. Arrests and investigation
During the continuing probe, a 47-year-old man from Kirkby and a 34-year-old woman from Liverpool have been detained on suspicion of murder. A 31-year-old man from Liverpool has additionally been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. The trio have been released on conditional bail while enquiries progress.
Two police forensic vehicles were spotted outside The White Star Line Hotel yesterday evening (August 3) as officers pursued their investigation. A representative for the hotel commented: "Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the deceased at this time. We are assisting the police in their enquiries in any way we can."
