Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with the death of a motorcyclist on the Great Orme in Llandudno, North Wales Police have confirmed. The incident occurred on Marine Drive at 10.30pm on Thursday, 29 October, when the rider fell into the sea below following a crash.
A major rescue operation was launched involving Llandudno RNLI. The biker was recovered from the water but later died, according to NorthWalesLive.
Arrests and appeal
In a statement issued on Friday, a North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit appeal said: "Investigating officers have launched a further public appeal following the fatal road traffic collision in Llandudno last week. The incident occurred on Marine Drive at 10.30pm on Thursday, 29 October."
"Three males, aged between 17 and 18 have been arrested and interviewed in connection with the incident, and have since been released whilst enquiries continue."
Officers are requesting dashcam footage from anyone driving around Llandudno town centre between 10pm and 10:30pm, and from anyone who drove along Marine Drive from the Toll House around the headland anytime between Monday, 26th and Thursday, 29th October.
Investigation continues
Detective Inspector Tim Evans from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "I would urge people not to speculate on the circumstances of this collision or make comment on social media as this can be particularly distressing."
"Since our initial appeal, we have now traced the black-coloured vehicle. However, I believe that there are people within our local community who have direct information which could assist this investigation and provide answers on what led to the tragic and devastating death of a young man, loved by so many."
