Teens arrested after biker dies in Llandudno sea fall

Three teenagers have been arrested and released in connection with the death of a biker who drove off a coastal road in Wales and fell into the sea below. The incident occurred on Marine Drive at Llandudno's Great Orme, and police have now launched a fresh appeal for information.

The biker was recovered from the water following a major rescue operation involving Llandudno RNLI, but he later died. The incident took place at 10.30pm on Thursday, October 29.

Arrests and release

In an appeal issued on Friday, North Wales Police confirmed that three males, aged between 17 and 18, have been arrested and interviewed in connection with the incident. They have since been released whilst enquiries continue.

The police statement reads: "Investigating officers have launched a further public appeal following the fatal road traffic collision in Llandudno last week. The incident occurred on Marine Drive at 10.30pm on Thursday, October 29."

"Three males, aged between 17 and 18, have been arrested and interviewed in connection with the incident and have since been released whilst enquiries continue."

Appeal for dashcam footage

Officers are requesting dashcam footage from anyone who was driving around Llandudno town centre between 10pm and 10.30pm. They are also keen to review dashcam footage from anyone who drove along Marine Drive, from the Toll House around the headland, between Monday, October 26 and Thursday, October 29.

Detective inspector Tim Evans said: "I would urge people not to speculate on the circumstances of this collision or make comment on social media as this can be particularly distressing."

"Since our initial appeal, we have now traced the black-coloured vehicle. However, I believe that there are people within our local community who have direct information which could assist this investigation and provide answers on what led to the tragic and devastating death of a young man, loved by so many."
