An inquest opening at Chelmsford Coroners Court on July 16 has revealed that 18-year-old Tallulah Bradford died after falling from a moving vehicle she was holding onto in Chalkwell Park, Westcliff, Essex. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 13, when emergency services were called to the park following reports that a group had taken unauthorised control of a small articulated loading vehicle.
Details of the Incident
According to the inquest, Tallulah was clinging to the side of the moving vehicle before she fell and was subsequently run over. She was rushed to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where she tragically died on the evening of June 19. The provisional cause of death was cited as traumatic head injuries.
Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
Essex Police confirmed that enquiries remain ongoing. An 18-year-old man from Westcliff and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain on bail until September. The police appealed for witnesses, stating: "We know there were a large number of young people in the area at the time, and we believe some may have witnessed what happened. We need anyone who has information and who we've not already spoken with to come forward."
Police also urged anyone with CCTV, dash cam, or other footage to contact them, quoting incident 39 of 13 June.
