Teen arrested after toddler airlifted after e-bike crash

An 18-year-old man has been arrested after a two-year-old girl was seriously injured in a collision with an e-bike in Clacton, Essex. The toddler was airlifted to hospital following the incident, which took place at around 9pm on Thursday.

Collision in Pathfields Road

Essex Police said the collision occurred in Pathfields Road. The young girl sustained serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to hospital, where she remains. The rider did not stop at the scene, prompting an investigation to locate them.

Arrest and bail

The 18-year-old man, from Clacton, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been bailed until November 10 while enquiries continue.
