A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after a fellow teen was stabbed in Finsbury Park on Monday night.
Emergency services were called to the area at around 11.15pm on October 26 following reports of an attack at the junction of Blackstock Road and Rock Street.
The 14-year-old victim was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre with injuries that have since been described as not life-threatening or life-changing.
Bus diversions and cordon
Multiple bus routes, including the 106 and 19, were diverted away from Blackstock Road, but were running as usual again on Tuesday morning.
Blackstock Road was cordoned off between Rock Street and Seven Sisters Road, and officers remained in the area this morning.
A medical kit and collapsed forensic tent could be seen behind the cordon, metres from the Blackstock pub.
Arrest and police appeal
The alleged perpetrator, who is also 14, was arrested by the Metropolitan police on Tuesday morning on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and he remains in custody.
A Met Police spokesperson told The Standard: “The Met takes incidents of this nature very seriously and detectives are working at speed to establish the circumstances surrounding the assault.”
Anyone with information or video footage that could assist the investigation has been urged to call police on 101, quoting CAD 7176/26OCT26, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
