A 38-year-old Sydney man has been charged with murder after his heavily pregnant partner was found stabbed to death in their Mount Druitt home. The woman’s teenage son discovered her body early on Tuesday morning.
The suspect surrendered to police several hours later and has been refused bail. He is due to appear before Mount Druitt Local Court on Wednesday.
Police have indicated that they believe the killing was an incident of domestic violence. The victim, aged 37, was a mother of four. Approximately one month before her death, she posted on Facebook expressing her joy at learning that her fifth child was to be a girl.
