Steffi Graf's brother reportedly living in Vegas tunnels

Michael Graf, the younger brother of tennis champion Steffi Graf, is reportedly homeless and living in the underground tunnels beneath Las Vegas while evading a police arrest warrant. According to the New York Post, Michael is wanted by law enforcement in the US state of Nevada on a criminal misdemeanour charge of trespass.

He is believed to have moved to Las Vegas to be closer to his sister and her husband, Andre Agassi, with whom Steffi shares two children. However, a series of rambling live streams on Facebook show that Michael appears to be living in the vast network of tunnels underneath the city.

Facebook Videos Show Tunnel Life

Over the last few days, Michael has posted a number of videos on his Facebook account. Some of the posts show him shirtless in front of a graffiti-covered wall, with only a torch and his phone screen for light. While many of the videos are inaudible due to audio issues, others feature ramblings on a range of topics, from movies and actors to influential celebrities like Elon Musk and Chelsea Handler.

The New York Post reported that in one video, Michael spoke about an alleged physical altercation between himself and Agassi, although there is no evidence to confirm that any incident between the pair actually took place.

Tunnel Network and Previous Arrests

The tunnels beneath Las Vegas were originally developed as a flood protection system and drainage network, but have since been used as shelter by thousands of homeless people. It is estimated that over 1,000 people currently live in the extensive tunnel network, which spans nearly 300 miles in length.

Michael's active warrant marks his latest brush with law enforcement after he was arrested for violent outbursts in Las Vegas six years ago. He was supported by Steffi at the time, with the tennis legend buying him a house and paying for his legal fees, according to Blick.

Family Moves and Past Comments

Michael reportedly moved out of his house after his second failed marriage earlier this year and started a nomadic lifestyle in Nevada. He later lived out of his Tesla, which he crashed in September.

Back in 2014, Steffi told Hello! that she and her family moved to Las Vegas due to Agassi's strong connection to the city. She said: "Very shortly after, my mum moved to Las Vegas, and then my brother and his four kids, so we have all the family there. All the cousins are together and growing up together. It's pretty neat."

Steffi previously said that she never imagined living in Las Vegas when her playing career ended, telling Tennis Magazine: "I literally had no idea where I was going to live. I just felt that I've been able to see so much of the world that I wanted to explore that more. Now living with two kids, and another great thing is my mom lives here, and so does my brother with his four kids. Andre, you know, [was] born and raised here, so we have such a tight-knit family and friend circuit. I feel very blessed."
