Emergency services have been deployed to Shoreham Port following a major incident, with helicopters also seen at the scene. The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed.
Lifeboats launched
An RNLI spokesperson confirmed that lifeboat crews were launched at about 2.50pm on Tuesday afternoon (August 17). Two other lifeboats were also launched from the Brighton lifeboat station shortly after 3pm.
