Search Off Welsh Coast for Missing Rock Climber

Emergency services are conducting a large-scale search off the Welsh coast for a man who went missing while planning to go rock climbing. The Coastguard boat and helicopter are involved in the operation in Pembrokeshire, focusing on areas near St Davids.

Missing Man Identified as Ben

The man, named only as Ben, is 47 years old and was last in contact with his family at around midday on Wednesday, according to police. He is believed to have intended to go rock climbing in either the Carreg y Barcud area, near Trelerw, or Caer Bwdy Bay, outside St Davids.

Description and Appeal

Dyfed-Powys Police describe Ben as approximately 5ft 11in tall, of athletic build, with short brown/greying hair and brown eyes. He was carrying an orange bag and wearing black climbing shoes with an orange strap at the time of his disappearance.
